K.Michelle, a name that so many have heard centered around LUSH, music, and jumpin’ gates. Many people were introduced to K., during the first season of Love & Hip Hop ATL. I remember when the cast names hit the blogs- people were wondering who she was. But after the Memphitz controversy, being outspoken, fun, and definitely talented, she made a name for herself. Hate or love her, K.Michelle is one talented chick and so much more.
Here is why ICRI loves K.Michelle:
1. She doesn’t give a f-k
K.Michelle made it clear that she does not care what others had to say about her, after it was revealed that the domestic dispute was with Memphitz. Even after alleged gag orders and lawsuits (allegedly now dropped), K. still didn’t give a f-k. As a matter of fact, it seems like she started talking even more.
After cast member Rasheeda confronted her and told her that she didn’t believe the story, the R&B singer made it clear that she didn’t care what no one thought about the situation According to her, Memphitz allegedly whooped her ass, took her money only to spend it on his now wife Toya Wright. And if you weren’t rockin’ with her you could kick rocks. She was not her for your approval but for herself.
2. Outspoken
She doesn’t care about who, what, when, where, why, or how, if there is something to be said please believe that she will say it. I will admit that sometimes K.will talk a little bit too much but that’s just her. If you eff with her be prepared to feel the wrath. Whether it’s a lil’ joke or just a down right curse out K.Michelle will definitely know where to get off at.
3. Relatable
Single-parent, broken heart, dating problems, falling in and out of love is everything that K.Michelle sings about. From “Met Yo Match” to “My Life,” this Memphis native definitely represents women all over because we all have went through the same thing. Many of us know what it feels like to be with a ninja for years and never get a ring. We know about dating a dude and then he turns out to be an asshole. And many women know about being a single-parent and the father of your child not being there to help support the child financially.
K.Michelle tells her life story and we can relate to it.
4. Talented
From Opera to R&B the girl can blow. K.Michelle is the perfect example of a woman that worked her way to the top. She used her reality TV platform to reach her ultimate goal of success. From What’s The 901? to her upcoming album Rebellious Soul, K. is taking us through her story, her struggle, her happiness, her pain, her success, her fears, her life. As she serenades us with her voice, as she tells us her story, you can’t help to say, “Damn, she can sing!” or “I’m feelin’ that!” Because she tells us about real life experiences through her voice.
As you can see, K.Michelle is definitely a genuine woman. She’s your everyday woman with a story and dares anybody to try to stop her from telling her story to the world. She loves to sing and she loves her fans and that’s definitely conveyed at her concerts and in her songs.
Her Don’t give a f-k attitude, outspoken personality, relatable experiences, and her amazing voice, ICRI can’t help but to love K.Michelle.
We can’t wait for “Rebellious Soul” because it will definitely be on repeat!
